The Road to El Dorado, Part 2The Golden Condor flew over the Gulf of Mexico at an incredible speed, much faster than any modern-day aircraft, Mona was certain. As they cruised over the area which would one day become the continental United States of America, Esteban showed Mona all the navigation equipment with which the Condor was equipped.
"The Condor has an inbuilt homing system which will cause it to travel automatically to a City of Gold when we get close enough to one, said Esteban. If we can find the general area, the Condor should take care of the rest."
"Handy," Mona remarked. "This machine throws everything I thought I knew about the history of the world into question!"
"Can we really trust anything we've ever been taught?" Dottie mused. "For everything we think we know, how many other things are being hidden from us?"
"Why is it so inconceivable to you guys that my people could have created something like this Golden Condor?" asked Zia. "Do you think us savages, just

It was just past two o'clock in the morning, and Fang was dozing contentedly on Mona's bed. His rest was disturbed as Mona suddenly vaulted through the open window, landed awkwardly, cried out as her left knee cracked hard against the floor, removed a jagged piece of metal from her right shoulder, threw it out of the window, and then collapsed in an exhausted heap on the bed.
"Busy night, Mona?" Fang asked casually, opening one eye.
"You could say that," Mona panted. "I found a Brachen demon nesting in the fountain down by the town hall. I would have beaten him easily if I'd still had all my powers, but... well, I decided a tactical withdrawal was necessary. I'll get Lily and Dottie to help me flush him out tomorrow."
"All those powers you had weren't really yours, Mona," Fang reminded her. "They were given to you for a specific purpose, and now that purpose has been fulfilled."
"I know," Mona sighed, as she removed her plas
Redemption, Part 3Back at Camelhot, Treguard was running his hands over the egg, his face pinched in concentration. Flame was still holding firmly onto one end, determined not to let the precious object leave her grasp. However, this ambition was decisively foiled as the egg suddenly rose up into the air and shot across the room towards the doorway, where it stuck fast against Lilys golden power shield.
Oh, my egg! Flame wailed. Whats happening to it?
The Portal of Darkness must have opened! Treguard exclaimed. Now the forces of evil will do all they can to drag the egg right into its black heart!
You must stop them! Flicker cried.
Well do all we can, Treguard nodded. Thank goodness for your golden power shield, Lily.
I dont know how long itll hold, Lily fretted. Weve got to give Mona time to work out how to
Redemption, Part 2Mona, Charley and Lily found themselves standing on one side of a large square game board, which had a series of short pathways connecting evenly spaced smaller squares, which were designed for the players to stand on. On the far side of the board, three of these squares were lighted green; the one in the middle and the two at each end. Upon the middle square stood the Dark Knight, dressed in a long black cloak and wearing a large black helmet with a small glass visor. No facial features could be seen through this and, as the Dark Knight could apparently not see his opponents, Mona deduced that the helmet must be some kind of VR device. The room was eerily lit in green and red, and smoke billowed out of the metallic game board every so often. As Mona, Charley and Lily looked appraisingly at their opponent, the Dark Knight spoke.
Move! he commanded in a deep, authoritative voice.
What do we do, Mona? Lily asked uncertainly.

Mona knew that the time of reckoning was fast approaching. It was early in the morning of Good Friday, which meant that barely forty-eight hours remained before Flames egg was due to hatch, and Fays baby was due to be born. If these happy events occurred without mishap, the fate of the world would no longer be hanging in the balance. Mona tossed and fidgeted in her bed as she turned this salient fact over and over in her mind. She thought that she would never get to sleep but, suddenly, she found herself standing in a grey stone chamber, looking up at a large transparent face on the wall. Mona knew that she was dreaming.
I know you, she said to the face. Youre the Oracle.
If you know that, you should be able to work out why I have brought you here to me, the transparent features responded in soft, silvery tones.
To give me some information abo
The Mirror of Erised, Part 3 Treguard! Mona exclaimed urgently, as she burst into the Great Hall of Knightmare. Hes back. Mogdreds back!
What?! Treguard reacted violently, as he looked up from his magic pool. Did you just say Mogdreds back?
Yes, hes in my town right now!
But how can this be? Mona, you must tell me all you know!
And so Mona explained to Treguard all about how Mogdred had brought the Mirror of Erised out of Lawrences copy of Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone, which in turn had caused Raven, Beast Boy and Terra to end up in her town. She then went on to describe their encounter with Mogdred, including all he had said about how he and Merle had managed to escape, and how he had been responsible for sending Mona and her friends to Eternia.
I see, Treguard said, calmer now. We really must tell Merlin about this. I
