Intergalactic Council, Part 1MONA THE VAMPIRE XXVII: THE INTERGALACTIC COUNCIL

It was a cold winters night in December, but Mona was not asleep. She was reading through some of her old diaries and remembering some of her past adventures.
Oh yeah, that was a good one, Mona suddenly chuckled out loud.
At the foot of the bed, a green eye lazily slid open. Fang yawned and stretched, and regarded Mona expressionlessly.
Are you ever going to turn that light off? the cat enquired casually. Its quite hard for me to sleep, particularly as you keep making little remarks to yourself about your previous adventures.
You shouldnt be thinking about sleep now, Fang, Mona admonished, looking up from her diary. The night is a hunters territory vampires and cats are both hunters, you know.
Not when theyre as domesticated as I am, Fang pointed out. And I hav
Gold Rush, Part 3As Lawrence walked further and further along the tightrope, his confidence increased a great deal. As the others watched in hopeful awe, Lawrence wobbled his way to the far end of the tightrope and grabbed the metal canister firmly in his right hand.
Yes! he celebrated happily, waving the small capsule around triumphantly as he wobbled alarmingly on his precarious perch. Ive done it!
Whats the word, Lawrence? Melinda called up.
Ship! Lawrence yelled back.
Right, guys, be thinking about those clues, said Melinda. Youve done really well to get them all, but I think theres one more ordeal Boyards got waiting for you. Come on!
The password is staring us in the face, said Mona to Lily and Dottie. Only one word goes with train, writer, town, headless and ship!
Only one more ordeal to go, Mon
Gold Rush, Part 2Lily entered the cell and appraised its contents. There was a treadmill in front of her, above which hung a large number of buckets, suspended from metal hooks on the ceiling. There was also a long plastic tube standing at the far end of the treadmill, with a key on a float at the bottom.
Jeez, what am I supposed to do? Lily boggled.
Get on the treadmill and grab a bucket, Dottie advised. You can pour the water into that tube thingy and make the key float to the top.
But Ill get soaked! Lily protested.
So what? snapped Mona. Just get on with it, Lily!
Reluctantly, Lily stepped onto the conveyer belt. She found it very hard to keep upright as she jogged to keep up with the speed of the moving device. This was made doubly difficult as she attempted to lift down the floppy buckets from the hooks above her, which resulted in a cold and unpleasant soaking on several

Fang, Mona ventured tentatively, her eyes scouring the darkness for any signs of life from her small brown cat at the foot of her bed. Fang, are you awake?
Two brilliant green pinpoints of light suddenly appeared as Fang opened his eyes.
Something troubles you, Mona, the cat said softly. Youre worrying about Mum-Ra, arent you?
Yes, I have been, Mona admitted. How did you know?
I always know what youre thinking, Mona, and I always have, Fang replied enigmatically. Yet why does the mummy still concern you? Dont you trust him to keep his word about staying out of your affairs?
Well, thats the funny thing, Mona said. I do trust his word, but I cant help feeling theres more to the situation than even he realises. I mean, why was h
Ghost World, Part 3As Mona and Dottie tumbled out of the wardrobe, they crashed into Lily, who had been about to enter the portal herself. The three girls ended up in a tangled heap on the floor. Luckily, no one was skewered by Dotties sword.
Oh, hi there, Lily, said Mona, untangling her right arm from Dotties left knee. Did you find anything?
Nada, Lily replied firmly. My lead was a complete bust. What about you two? Did you persuade Danny Phantom that you were the good guys?
Yes, we did, Dottie beamed.
Well, we sort of did, Mona amended. At least, hes agreed to close the portal as long as we leave him alone.
Tell me all about what happened, Lily requested eagerly. I wish Id been with you now, rather than stuck back here finding out absolutely nothing.
And so Mona and Dottie told Lily all about their experien
Ghost World, Part 2Lily was at something of a loss as to how she was going to investigate her possible lead. As she was wandering vaguely around the neighbourhood trying to think of an idea, she saw Lawrence mowing his front lawn. For the want of anything else to try, Lily decided to ask him if he had seen any small green creatures lurking around anywhere.
Hey, Lawrence, Lily said brightly, as she sauntered up to him. Whats up?
Lawrence looked up and switched off his lawnmower. A slightly haunted look entered his eyes as he watched Lily approach him.
Oh, hello Lily, he said cautiously. What can I do for you?
You seem a bit edgy, Lawrence, Lily remarked. Is something wrong?
Well, that depends on you, doesnt it? Lawrence replied. Have you come to involve me in some hair-raising adventure?
No, not necessarily, Lily returned.

The shorter days, barer trees and colder nights were signalling the impending start of November. Mona had sometimes heard it said that demons and monsters disliked the commercialism of Halloween, and tended to stay in every October the thirty-first, but she had never seen any evidence to support this theory.
Weve got to be alert, Fang, Mona solemnly told her cat, whose piercing green eyes were watching her intently from the shadows on the opposite side of the room. The forces of darkness are restless, and weve got to be ready to deal with them.
Fang blinked a couple of times, then he began to purr. Mona regarded him appraisingly for a few moments, and then returned her attention to the window. Fang closed his eyes, but no further sounds emerged from him. He knew full well that there were plenty of evil forces lurking in the darkness out there, and he wondered whether Mona had forgotten the
Knightmare in Camelhot, Part 3As Mona burst out of her house and onto the street, she saw Lily doing the same thing from next door.
Mona! Lily exclaimed. Was it real? Last night, did we really ?
Yes, we did, Mona confirmed, rushing over to meet Lily. And its all thanks to this dream spirit, Freddy Krueger.
But who is he? Lily wondered. Did you find out anything else last night?
Yes, I found out all about him after you and Dottie woke up, Mona nodded. Hes a kind of vengeful spirit, like Candyman, except that Freddy Krueger was pure evil before he died as well as afterwards. Im on my way to report to Treguard and Merlin, so why dont you come too and
Mona was cut short by a loud exclamation from further down the street, which was accompanied by Dottie running up to join Mona and Lily.
Did did it really happ
Knightmare in Camelhot, Part 2Around the Square Table sat Sir Galahot, Sir Burnevere, Sir Hotbreath, Sir Blaze and King Flicker.
Well, er, thanks for coming, everyone, Flicker began uncertainly. This meeting is an opportunity for you all to get used to having me in the chair, and let me know if you have any problems with well, anything, really.
And why should we have any problems, sir? asked Sir Galahot. No one deserves more richly than you to rule Camelhot in King Allfires stead, and were all behind you. Isnt that right, lads?
Yes, absolutely, rumbled Sir Hotbreath, belching a jet of flame across the table. Youre the boss now, Your Majesty.
Aye, were all with you, King Flicker, agreed Sir Burnevere.
Well, that really is very good of you all, Flicker beamed. I know it must be strange to see me sitting here, despite what
