Knightmare in Camelhot, Part 2Around the Square Table sat Sir Galahot, Sir Burnevere, Sir Hotbreath, Sir Blaze and King Flicker.
Well, er, thanks for coming, everyone, Flicker began uncertainly. This meeting is an opportunity for you all to get used to having me in the chair, and let me know if you have any problems with well, anything, really.
And why should we have any problems, sir? asked Sir Galahot. No one deserves more richly than you to rule Camelhot in King Allfires stead, and were all behind you. Isnt that right, lads?
Yes, absolutely, rumbled Sir Hotbreath, belching a jet of flame across the table. Youre the boss now, Your Majesty.
Aye, were all with you, King Flicker, agreed Sir Burnevere.
Well, that really is very good of you all, Flicker beamed. I know it must be strange to see me sitting here, despite what

The hour was very late on a cold October night, but Mona was not asleep. She was sitting up in bed, her attention completely focused, her eyes glued to the television at the foot of her bed. It was only a standard common-or-garden werewolf movie emanating from the screen, but Mona found that she could not draw her eyes away from the somewhat clichéd, cheaply-made film.
Dear God, Fang, Mona breathed apprehensively. Is that really what I look like when I change?
The small brown cat made no answer, but continued to regard Mona slyly through his deep green eyes. Mona continued to watch the werewolf movie, completely unable to concentrate her worried mind on anything else until the film was over.
Im kinda glad that movies finished, Fang, Mona confessed as she turned off the TV. It makes me realise just how much of a monster I must become when I t
Full Moon Rising, Part 3Lily threw herself through the broken window and flung her arms around Mona. Mona returned her embrace, although she was somewhat taken aback at this unexpected and affectionate arrival.
Hey, Lily, whats going on? asked Mona.
Oh, I just had to come and see you! Lily gushed. Mona, I know youve been turning into a werewolf and I want to help you.
How did you find out? asked Mona in surprise.
I had a strange visitor in my bedroom, Lily explained. It was really weird, Mona. It knew all this stuff about you, and it told me that you needed my help. I figure it was some kind of guardian angel or something.
Hmm, perhaps, Mona responded. I tell you, Lily, this werewolf things been terrible. Im supposed to be here to help Angelica but last night I was trying to kill her!
Well sort it out before
Full Moon Rising, Part 2When Mona and Dil entered the kitchen through the French windows, they found Tommy in the middle of a bowl of cereal.
Oh, hey D, said Tommy absently. Whos your friend?
Im glad you asked me that, T! Dil exclaimed. This is Mona the Vampire!
What? Tommy scoffed. She doesnt look like a vampire to me.
Then let me oblige you, Tommy, Mona offered generously, and transformed into her vampire form.
Jesus Christ! Tommy exclaimed.
Wow, thats so cool! Dil enthused, eagerness shining in his eyes.
Now I have your attention, perhaps we can talk about Angelica, Mona suggested. Her life is in terrible danger and I need to find out what evil monster is baying for her blood. I need you two to help me convince her to trust me.
Whoa, this is too much to

Mona was experiencing a slight pain. It was an unfamiliar nagging sort of stomach-ache. She lay on her back in the dead of night, squirming uncomfortably on her bed, as the full moon spilled its silvery light into the bedroom through the open curtains.
I just cant sleep, Fang! Mona exclaimed after a while. This nagging ache its not very painful, just incredibly uncomfortable. I dont know what to do!
Miaow! Fang replied indignantly, making it quite clear that he would be quite able to get to sleep if he were given the chance.
Im sorry, Fang, Mona apologised. This isnt going to do either of us any good, is it? I think Ill transform into Mona the Vampire and see if that helps. I know its not strictly necessary right now, but I think its the only way either of us is going to get any sleep to
The Army of the Dead, Part 4Flame was kneeling beside the wounded King Allfire, tears running down her cheeks, while the other dragons rounded on Count Geoffrey.
Youve gone too far this time! proclaimed Flicker, who was holding him firmly by the neck.
No! King Allfire protested weakly. Its its not him!
The king is entering a near-death madness! exclaimed Sir Burnevere. That settles it; the time has come to rid ourselves finally of Count Geoffrey of Monmouth!
But then a powerful voice cut across the Lake, and reached the dragons assembled on the shore. It belonged to Mona the Vampire, and it originated from a large wooden barge on which Mona was riding.
Stop! came the command. King Allfires right! Cant you see? Its not Count Geoffrey its Merle!
Mona was nearing the shore. On the barge with her were six figures clad entirely in whi
The Army of the Dead, Part 3Lily had endured another day of entrapment, and she was utterly sick of it. She had noticed that Dottie, too, had become a bit edgy during the second day, but Charley was still annoyingly perky. Lily was looking forward to getting back to the real world. As the first rays of sunlight pricked through the glass in the manhole cover, they brushed Lilys face. As she began to wake up from her sleep, she smiled to herself; it would soon be time for Lawrence to come and release them, and the nightmare would end.
Dottie! Lily hissed, having seen that her female companion was beginning to stir. Look, its dawn.
Oh, thats good, Dottie yawned. Lawrence must be on his way.
Youre looking forward to getting out of here, then? Lily prompted her. Dont you want to have a few more heart-to-hearts with our host?
Even if I do, I want to get out of this
The Army of the Dead, Part 2Charley had led Lily and Dottie to a clearing in the woods. There was a great deal of thick shrubbery on the ground, and it was hard to walk without being snagged by briars at every turn.
Why have you taken us into the woods, Charley? Lily demanded tetchily.
Because this is where the thing I want to show you is, Charley replied mysteriously.
Theres nothing here, Lily pouted. Screw you, Charley, Im going home!
Oh, you wont want to miss this, Charley grinned. You think theres nothing here? Youre wrong. Look down between your feet, Lily.
Lily crouched down and parted the shrubbery with her hands. There was a small pipe sticking out of the earth, and a round metal device that looked like a manhole cover with a small glass window in it.
Ooh, what is it, Charley? Dottie asked excitedly. Is there something down ther

The silvery moonbeams spilled into Monas bedroom through her unscreened window, illuminating the room with an eerie light. Monas open eyes sparkled in this, for she was not asleep. Her mind was too busy to allow her that luxury, and she lay awake, considering an invitation that had recently been extended to her. From the end of the bed, Fang regarded her through his deep, green eyes.
This is the question, Fang, Mona stated. Should I go, or should I not? Its not an easy decision. Do I willingly go to see Count Dracula, father of all the vampires, and court danger as I have done so often in the past, or do I leave this potential bombshell well alone?
Fang stared emotionlessly back at her. He did not respond verbally to Monas questions, but she was unsure whether he was unwilling or unable to do so. Mona sighed heavily, and fondled the amulet she always wore at her chest
